In 1912, Nestlé opened its representative office in Saigon
After the Renovation Period in Vietnam in 1992 the Nestlé Group officially came back to the country with a joint venture between Perrier Vittel (which belongs to Nestlé' group) and the Long An Trading Company. The joint venture company La Vie was founded.
In 1995 Nestlé Vietnam was established, which is 100% foreign invested enterprise, belonging to the Nestlé Group.
The total capital invested by Nestlé in Vietnam is over $450milllon to date. The company employs approximately 2000 employees nationwide and operates five factories in the country. The name 'Nestlé' has stayed in the heart of so many Vietnamese generations, thanks to:
To demonstrate its long-term commitment to Vietnam, the Nestlé Group has invested heavily in new production facilities in the country over recent years in order to meet both domestic and international demand. Nestlé has also been bestowed with a certificate of merit from Vietnam's Tax Bureau for its financial contribution, an honour that reflects its commitment to doing business as a credible foreign enterprise.
